A Spiritual Journey

 

At age 12 or 13, my family drove through the Pacific Northwest; I could hardly believe my eyes. The moist beauty, the cool beauty, such a breath of life,  MOIST COOL GROWING GRANDEUR !

This awareness came an interest of The ASIAN AESTHETIC, the crafts, the art and textures.A new awareness of nature and even beyond to the whole universe and how all this is a ONE - ALL CONNECTED. I am aware of how my whole life in the Pacific Northwest is living of this WHOLENESS OR WORLDINESS.

My drawings and monotypes come out of this living in this wholeness in the moist Northwest. Everywhere I look I see bursting, growing moving life.

Nutrient to the universe of my drawing - am I only a moment or a stopped moment. I don't know - only I must keep doing art - to grow and to change! LIFE IS FOR LIVING.
